Trinity is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, a church body which is comprised of 4.8 million members and almost 10,500 congregations. We are Christians who trace our roots to the reforming tradition of Martin Luther in the 16th century.

This congregation dates back to 1904 when it was given the original name of the Scandinavian Evangelical Lutheran Free Church of Enumclaw. Services at that time were all held in the Norwegian language. The current building was dedicated in 1947.

Whereas the original congregation was primarily limited to one ethnic expression, today Trinity is an inclusive community which strives for diversity.

We are a Christian Community which worships the Trinity (God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit). We believe that God so loved the world that Jesus was sent to be among us. Jesus entered the world for the sake of a broken humanity and fractured creation. It is in the crucified and risen Jesus that we come to know the love of God and the life to which we have been called.

Lutherans do not have any beliefs that cannot be found amongst other Christian groups, although we do have our unique emphases. One such emphasis is the centrality of grace (free gift). Gods good gifts are freely given; we do not earn Gods favor. In turn, by the gift of the Spirit, we are sent into the world to be grace for others.
